Loving Across our Differences: Building Relationships Across Cultures
Life might be simpler if we were all the same, but we’re not. We’re all made
differently, and we come from different backgrounds, cultures and life
experiences. Given these differences, how do we start to build real
relationships with people who are not like us? How do we cross ethnic and cultural
barriers? How do we get along?
In this track we’ll look at some foundational principles for building
relationships with people from different cultures and backgrounds. We will look
at God’s view of multi-ethnicity, and discover in Scripture new resources for
cross-cultural relationships. We will use simulations to help us see life from
someone else’s perspective. As a result, you will leave with a deeper awareness
of how to be a bridge-builder – someone who values other ethnic groups and
cultures and can relate with integrity to people who are different from you.
